i'm saying it's not as complicated as you make it seem. there needs to be a nationwide movement by upwardly mobile black people to pull away from the ghetto trash. yes, i understand that there are many good blacks in poor neighborhoods. but, that can no longer be our problem, because the majority in the ghettos don't want help. they want to wallow in degradation and filth, all the while blaming their poverty on everyone but themselves.

middle and upper-middle class black people need to unite and say "enough is enough" to the behavior of poor black people. i think doing so, and doing it in a loud and public way, will do wonders for those of us -- black people with something to live for -- who are trying to push this community forward.

both of my parents are black. my mom is "half/half," but she's a proud sister. i'm not planning the destruction of the black masses. i'm arguing that the empowerment of the black middle class can only happen if we come to terms with the irreparable state of ghetto black america and finally pull away from them. those people can't be saved. let's focus on our successes and build from there.

That wouldn't work because you gonna forget about the black people who started in poor and ghetto areas who managed to come for that make it out the hood. I don't see how separating ourselves within our race will help anyone....

I grew up in East Cleveland (very poor and ghetto), watch my parents work their way up to move us to a hood in Dallas and then to decent neighborhood in dallas. Then once I was on my own I stayed in the hood in North Dallas and just recently in the last 3 years bought a house for my fam in a suburb.

So now that I'm in the burbs, I'm supposed to shyt on all the people I used to stay with and held me down when I didn't have shyt and hang out with all these uppidity negros walking arounds with white chicks on their arm???

Because hes acting like a bytch and i dont like that. Hes approaching the issue from the standpoint of someone that is trying to get on someones nerves, and i dont like that. Hes acting like a cracker thats pretending to be black on the internet, and that bothers me.
