So she basically invented the new bundles
They're just collectable variants, similar to how shyt worked a decade ago when you'd get exclusive tracks at Target or Best Buy. I wouldn't say it's comparable to the bundles or something new. Drake won't be doing this for instance.

To me the bigger lesson for rap is that she had her physicals ready day one, wasn't concerned about leaks, and wasn't obsessed about controlling every piece of information until the last minute. Similar to how Beyonce released her album, and the opposite of someone like Kendrick who didn't have physicals ready and obsessed way too much over hoarding information until the last second. It's 2022, if your shyt leaks people are still going to "buy" your record via streaming anyway. If you're a big artist, at least.

Doesn't matter if you don't know who they are, their actual audience does and puts their money where their mouth is.

Time some of you kids realize the difference between reality and perception.

You aren't a star if you don't have a fanbase that financially supports you.
You aren't a star if you can't tour.
You aren't a star if your whole selling point is the illusion of being famous, but you have no work to sell or fall back on.

Beyonce is a wanning superstar, her last record flopped.
Drake is a wanning superstar, his last record flopped.

Taylor swift showed her relevance in her commercial performance.
Adele's last album didnt do her usual numbers, but it sold more than Drake and Beyonce.

Image only goes so far.
Boom. Times are changing its a must Black people continue going the direction Childish Gambino, and Silk Sonic went thats where we need to push music.

Rap is done because these idiots both young and old couldnt keep the streets out of it, and these rap crews are causing real havoc in their perspective cities.

Them folks arent playing and now the community is rallying behind them, their tired of these gangster rappers and alot of yall favorites bout to get football numbers.

And the fact that these dudes prove time and time again they have no real talent its only justifying it more, yall think its a coincidence they put both ice spice and fivio two of the most well known drill rappers on a big stage(in NY, the city having an explosion of crime and alot of it directly linked to drill rappers) and let them embarrass themselves knowing damn well they werent prepared?

Nah its a method behind the madness.

LOL. That most streamed artists of 2022 had Drake at #1 over Taylor Swift and everybody. His content, for the most part, isn't violent. He's the template for Jack Harlow.
Doesnt change what i said in fact it only proved my point we need an ACTUAL BLACK Jack Harlow, no other Black rapper gets the love that Drake gets.

Case and point look at Bryson Tiller dude was on top of the world at one point and all he talked about was love and player shyt we need more of that.

As a said rap is done because nikkas want to rep the hood, the same hood that will kill them if they walk thru dripping to hard, the same hood that dont financially support them.

White women love Taylor Swift. She’s like their champion

I’ve never seen anything like this and I came of age during the Britney Spears/Christina Aguilera/Pink Eras

I still think Britney, N’Sync, Eminem were bigger

Something about this feels forced and inauthentic

You’re right. It’s really wild that Adele didn’t do this with her last her album. Didn’t she move like 3 million with 25 first week?

Adele was white hot in 2015 when 25 came out. She didn't release the album on streaming services for months, so if you wanted it, you had to go out and buy it. And "Hello" was a monster hit to the point where she didn't even need to put out another single to sell more. To add to that, she was coming off of 21 which was a huge album. All of these things resulted in her going triple platinum in the first week.

The hype was still there for 30, but not nearly as much. It didn't have a song like "Hello," and it was also her first album in six years. She's still going to sell more than 95% of the industry, but she wasn't going to match those numbers twice.

Also, Adele isn't nearly as accessible as Taylor is. She's like Kendrick (makes music and is radio silent the rest of the time) and Taylor is like Drake (been around since the 2000s and hasn't left for a second).
