One thing the classism in Africa taught me about the African elite, they only see the other elite as true representatives of their respective countries. The impoverished majority whose everyday lives run counter to theres do not exist. Yet it's them who represent the everyday average person.

It's wild to me. I be in Nigeria and the house servants, security guards, and "lower class" folk say I'm one of the few who treat them like they exist.

It's easy to see how African countries are in the state they are in when the elite act like the majority don't exist.
