It's more like if you can't produce 1 policy that specifically address black issues, then why should we take you seriously?
Is healthcare not a “black issue”? Education? Housing?

You want them to call it the “black issues” bill?

No, it's more like "neglect goes both ways".
I get it but I disagree that mutual neglect would end in a positive outcome for black people.

True. But that's not the argument being made by anyone.
Yes it is if you say black people have voted democrat and got nothing. What could/should have been the alternative that would have been more beneficial for black people?

In what way?

But it has done the least for black people and every other group has benefited more than black people over those 50 years.
This is not a true or even quantifiable statement.

:whoa: Maybe he should start at a lower tier office to gain some political experience before he shoots at the highest office in the land. I’d wanna see how he fares as a politician and if his platform changes.
read the replies to that tweet... they were clowning his ass hard

Pretty sure he never brought it up again after those poll numbers :mjlol:

These are American issues... issues every American citizen faces.
When the term "black issue"(in this context) is used it is referencing issues that hinder black people specifically and exasperate our unique economic situation in America.
Allowing cacs to roll us up in their issues, while our unique challenges and grievances are bushed is the epitome of liberal white supremacy.

African Americans are not catching up and will not catch up via policies that equally advance those ahead of us... in fact some of those policies such as education widen the gap.

I gotta take my hat off to cacs man...
Making it "impossible" to directly address black issues specifically(Dems), while directly oppressing black people(Rethugs) specifically is brilliant.
The DNC has blacks out here saying they cant craft policy for us specifically, and that the reparations issue needs to be dropped.:wow:
Rethugs must be:ohhh::whoo::salute:
Its like Dem cacs told rethugs to have a seat so they can show them how its done.:wow:

Define one of these “black issues”

What issue effects only and all black people.

No where did I state only/all... but if you want to create an absolute argument out of thin air to make tearing it down easier, ill play along.:manny: and i'll give you more than just one to chew on.

1. The economic consequences of state sanctioned Redlining. Reparations ideally would offset the wealth loss suffered by the black community under this state practice.
2. The economic and social consequences of Mass incarceration and mass incarceration itself(two separate issues). Another state practice the government owes redress for.
3. Voter suppression.
4. Discriminative hiring practices* this is the big one. Whites have shown they are willing to suffer personal loss if it means barring blacks entry into the market/middle class. Ideally reparations would aim to directly address this issue.
5. The economic, social and psychological consequences of state terrorism directed specifically at African American communities, as well as the terrorism itself.

1 redlining didn’t only affect black people, fixing would not only help black people

2 mass incarceration did not only affect black people and fixing it will not only help black people

3. Voter suppression does not only affect black people, and fixing it would not only help black people.

4. You mean like affirmative action?

5. Again not an issue that only affects black people and fixing it would not only help black folks.

Universal healthcare would absolutely allow black folks to “catch up” in terms of health outcomes :gucci:

Baby bonds and a federal job guarantee would also close some gaps as well, though not completely
