lastly it's "black skin" you obviously keep trying to inject latino (brown skin) into the conversation....there's no one in 2019 that is being treated like blacks were in 1892-1970...cmon man. again this is slave (DOS) reparations, it's cut and dry for me, why can't you wrap your head around this simple concept.
You all over the place with this dumb shyt.

Nobody has “black” skin, and anyone with any type of color to their skin we’re treated the same from 1892-1970

Not even sure why you chose that random time frame, but you are only adding to her argument by using those years and the “black experience” for your qualifications.

No they weren't. A lot of people were subjected to discrimination and racism. But none of them were treated like blacks were during that time. Blacks were treated far worse.

Reparations for African-Americans is an issue that's separate from civil rights for minorities. There's some overlap, but they are still two separate things.

“Black” back then ment anything not white.

This would encompass Jamaicans, Afro-Latinos and even white people with some African ancestry I.E. one drop rule.

Sure reparations for slavery and then for civil rights atrocities would be two different things, I just don’t see how having this fight benefits anyone. All the energy should be spent getting the gov to do it, not arguing over who’s “black” enough to be eligible

Yes, government should give AAs reparations. The rest of us chose to be here. You knew what the deal was when you got here.

So we're beefing with Latinos over imaginary reparations? :wtf:

And this is a reason for black folks not to vote? :wtf:

This nikka Tariq has become terrible :scusthov: , I can't believe I used to be somewhat of a supporter of his when I was in my early 20s.

We? Nah. Clarifying a position is not beefing.

And this is a reason for black folks not to vote? :wtf:

Who said it was a reason? I'm telling people now. Vote. But for policy more than personality. Read up on their records. Pick the candidate whose policies align with yours. If you can't get that person, then pick the person who will at least do the best job possible.

Not true.

There were clear distinctions between Indians, African americans, the Chinese etc.

Everyone wasn't seen as "Black".

And Jamaican's/Afro-Latinos wouldn't be "seen as black", THEY ARE BLACK. lol

Obviously I wasn’t talking about Indians and Asian although with dark enough skin they could/would have been mistaken as “black” too

And I’m not denying that Jamaicans and Afro Latinos ARE black, but according to the context of the convo I was having with the other dude they would not be considered African American and eligible for these imaginary reparations.
