Goodluck Jonathan is not even his native name. There was a wave of Nigerians during and after the civil war who changed their last name to either their father or grandfather first name, to avoid persecution by the north. Meaning just by your last name people were able to identify your tribe which sometimes subject people to discrimination or unjust practices when it comes to hiring.
