There's no such thing as clean hands in politics as you have to play the game to get to where you want to go. These Progressives aren't the first of their kind in Congress as it's been many before that came into politics with sincere intentions. Unfortunately, you learn really quick that big money and corporations influence Congress and their decisions. If you don't want to play the game then someone else will.

Look at all the perks and benefits that come to working in Congress and you'll see that those Progressives benefit from them just as much as the people they complain about.
So your fukking solution is to continue voting in career corporatist politicians:gucci:, even if what you are saying is true (it's not, it's bullshyt) progressives are still far less
prone to been beholden to corporate interest and if they were to ever hold a super majority in congress (will never happen, I know) America and the world would be a better place

Are you really that naive to the way that the world works :mjlol:

Big money and power players influencing every aspect of your daily live even if you don't realize it. Getting rid of politicans change nothing as long as lobbyist run Congress and influence their decision. Money and power corrupt and you're naive as hell if you think otherwise.

Do you actually think that those politicians create the billion and trillion dollar bills that they fight over? Congress flat out told you last year that they were forced to vote on a bill that they never got to read ahead of time.

Does anyone think Henson should have been paid CLOSE to what the actual STARS of the movie were paid? What are we doing here. This is nonsense. It's a Brad Pitt movie, starring Blanchett as his love interest. They got paid more than everyone else. As they should have been.

Nobody's saying that. Taraji isn't even saying that.

Good that she gave Tyler Perry his props for employing and paying Black actors.
During Master P's reign, plenty of Black actors said the same thing about him. That appearing in his projects was the first time they saw real money.
Eddie Griffin and AJ Johnson both said that Master P would cut you a check right on the spot, and you could cash it immediately with no bullshyt. That's why I'll always respect people like Master P and MC Hammer, because they actually wanted to help the black community.

Even AOC was forced to lean back.

There was a thread recently about what political realities are. AOC stood on principle, but was forced to bend because of reality and how things operate in Congress. I'm sure you saw the thread.

That’s why TV roles can actually be more lucrative than movies. Movies potentially have the bigger payout, but if you land a good television role, that check is more consistent.

And why is that, because congress is overwhelmed with corrupt corporate ghouls (which I already mentioned in my original post) So if you want things to change, the only solution is to ensure
majority of politicians in congress are true progressives and that will never happen (atleast not in the US). if you can't beat them, join them but that wouldn't be the case if you and your ilk were the majority and running things.

AOC is not bending because "that's the nature of politics, she's bending because voters continue to send and overflow congress with scumbags likes Henry Cuellar,Josh Gottheimers etc and republicans
it always comes down to who the electorates are electing, period.

This is idealistic chatter.

Call it what you want but it's the truth. the majority will always run things and set the agenda for the most part (unless they are too weak and unified to govern ofcourse)
If congress one day becomes a progressive idealistic wonderland and politicians like AOC continue to bend then I will gladly concede your point and take that L
