Don't get me wrong. There have been some excellent Pitchfork reviews over the years where they capture the nuances and emotions the music evokes perfectly, but because they try to review every album and hold themselves to a high intellectual standard, it seems like we get too many lazy-but extremely verbose-reviews. Sometimes the reviews read as editorials or critique of the artist with little to no mention of the music. Doesn't help when the reviewer sounds like a prissy a$$hole....and is offbase.
