I keep bringing it up but does Kotaku like any games anymore
not ready to call it trash, but this damn sure ain't 9/10s across the boardNah this game trash fam, enjoy your time with Deathloop
the more i play, the more i hate the CP systemYou can put it on easy also. They messed up the gels for HP. They restore set amounts instead of percentages. Tales games have typically had the same sorts of bosses this one has. The difference was the older ones everyone had their own MP and used that for healing. Now CP is shared and used for healing by all characters.

feels like a spruced up Xillia with a better paint job

it makes you not even want to buff characters
I'm kind of mixed on the CP system.
On one hand it's pretty nice not to have to manage separate MP bars for each character. On the other hand, once you start running low and items to restore it are ridiculously expensive
cooking to mitigate CP drain is an option, but as equipment and money requirements go up it only makes more sense to lean towards other picks. More drops, better defense, higher damage output = less CP drain and more cash to sit on orange gels. as dungeons and fights get longer, the issue is scaling. solutions that work early and mid game don't work as well later. shyt, there's even CP refreshing accessories you can buildThing is tho, there's things to mitigate the CP and healing within the games systems. Cooking alone helps with mitigating either problem, depending on what you're looking to do at the time. Plus, there's artifacts and other equipment pieces that does it even further.
So....you're replaying a game that you already finished and questioning why it's a 9/10? That's different.CP system is mid. The Over Limit system from Vesperia was best in the series
Don't know how this game got so many 9/10s now I've finished it. I enjoyed it - playing again - but it stripped back a ton of shyt from the other games
the story DAMN sure ain't worth playing the game on cruise control don't even get me started there.Yall crying about bullet sponges just play on story mode. Its no trophies tied to difficulty so who cares. I'm 31 now and I'll gladly play on a easier difficulty for shyt if the difficulty doesn't add shyt except irritation. Games like Ghosts of tsushima are a absolute disservice to play on lower difficulties. this though? I definitely switched to normal or w/e towards the end. Bought some of the gold boosts too. 2 dollars is basically pennies to me
And before ya'll say I'm casual I've legit won more tournies in fighters than nikkas have bought. beat all the dmcs on dante must die etc. I aint got shyt to prove miss me with it.
the new game+ stuff in tales games always alleviates the bullshyt zestiria and graces f in particular are way more enjoyable when you can throw on modifiers and shape the game better. not surprised the same would apply hereSo....you're replaying a game that you already finished and questioning why it's a 9/10? Catch the context - I'm a long-time fan of the series and this ain't the best one to me. I'm not saying it's a 9 whether I'm gonna play it again or not

going from one town to the next challenginggym leaderslords with one of the most mid casts in recent memory for tales aint it.

I'm just saying, replaying games that one seemingly has much contention with is weird af imo.
