Nah it's just once you get past the pretty coat of paint you realize it's just a plain old tales game aka shoulda waited until it was $20.

Besides Deathloop is a much better experience.

And @Dallas' 4 Eva Deathloop a whole different genre. Don't really see the point of comparison. Ironically, I'll be waiting for that to hit 20 bucks since I don't play FPSes like that.

Not me comparing, just me saying which game is superior bruh.

Once I got deeper into this I realized it's just a regular old Tales game. Nothing wrong with that, just wish I woulda waited until it was $20-30. Besides the pretty new coat of paint this game doesn't do anything new aka I coulda waited.

bruh you gotta chill with the criticism = don't like the game stuff

its straight. but some of this stuff is straight up not entertaining and detracting.

but mainly - if you're ever preparing for specific mechanics instead of the overall gameplay experience, there's a problem worth mentioning as it actively takes away from the positives.

now that i know that dungeons are gonna be endurance treks, i gotta deliberately manage resources. now that i know bosses are just gonna get hyper armor and spam ults when they're under a certain threshold, i won't even bother with some of the combos that i actually enjoy using. that's what you have to do i probably ain't gonna be threatened again til new game+ either way but this game takes the wind out of its own sails like crazy.

Just finished the prologue/first lord. Haven’t played one of these since Xilia 2 but it’s pulled me right back in.

I can tell it’s gonna be challenging, but I doubt anything can frustrate me more than Victor or Raven/Schwann from Vesperia

I'm gonna try to finish this before Sunday. Probably gonna start a new playthrough of Berseria right after for better comparison. That and Deathloop will get juggled.

You play and do enough in a game, the game will reward you for it.

The reason I never heard it is because it happens when you finish a battle with a Rinwell X Law finisher. I mostly did combo attacks with Alphen and another party member. I didn't really even realize until later in the game the direction you push for the finisher determines one of the 2 characters in it.
