It could be argued that Hitler wasn't DIRECTLY responisble as he didn't pull the trigger or work the gas chambers that killed those poor Jewish people. However his prejudice, power and INFLUENCE is what DIRECTLY led to millions and millions of Jew deaths.


Joe Paterno's power, influence, and greed led to Sandusky continuing to be allowed full access to rape those defenseless boys. What self respecting institution of higher education would keep a statue of such a monster on thier campus as some type of beacon of pride? They are in effect saying that they are PROUD of a man who put a sport above the well being of children. A man who put a sport above the decency and compassion of humanity. His DIRECT influence led to another man being enabled to have sex with boys. That puts him in the same category of a monster, and to glorify a minster is to glorify evil

no it cannot be argued that. hitler put down the orders and the action of genocide was his idea in the first place. thats a DIRECT responsibility no matter who carried out the order.

Im not trying to defend paterno here, but theres clearly a difference.

if you walk by and theres a fight going on, and you dont do anything ignore it and just pass by. then one of the guys in the fight dies. you are indirectly responsible for not reporting it to authorities.

but you are directly responsible if you were actually initiating the damn fight. or told someone to jump that guy.
