I'll be buying Ta-Nehisi Coates book 'The Message' 
I posted this in the thread in Higher Learning -
But this was nasty work - Coates is a brilliant and straightforward advocate - he has a moral stance that is virtually impossible to undermine and applies it well here.

Love how Ta Nehisi held his ground and didn’t let that cracker steamroll him. Isn’t this a morning show? Why are they being so hostile? fukk kinda shyt is : “this would fit right into the backpack of an extremist” to say?
They didn’t even talk about the book, just the section on Israel but wouldn’t expect anything less from a propaganda network. All they did was prove Ta Nehisi point about the media and their alliance to Israel. This was great promotion for the book though - just pre ordered it

That devilish reporter was asking Coates “do you believe Israel has a right to exist?” Like this was chattel slavery and he was asking him for freedom papers.
If he said “no, it doesn’t” what was he gonna do? Get him arrested? They really use that gotcha line of questioning to try and scare black folks from having an opinion.

you're talking about when he testified in favor of reparations in front of congress? how did he sell us out? his writing reignited support of reparations and helped get Sheila Jackson Lee's reparations bill back up

This was great. I don't mind the questioning because Ta-Nehisi did such an incredible job answering him. In a six minute interview I actually took away some things that I wouldn't have otherwise (and I'm guessing others will also).
