I said musically not touring and all this other stuff you are talking about.

Rihanna teases a new album and it would break the Internet. I'm not even a fan like that, but the fact that she hasn't had an album since 2016 is going to make anything she says or doea regarding a new album that much bigger.

Her song from the BP 2 soundtrack didn't hit like that. Compare it to SZA's BP 1 song. Shyt has shifted.

I'm talking about how they are currently doing in regards to the general audience. Not who you personally like better.
your first sentence was about both artist musically, to which most in the thread collectively gave you the :mjtf:
She's passed Rihanna already music wise.
on to your second point,
If they both dropped a brand new song tomorrow I think hers would do better. Ri Ri is like multifaceted with the makeup and clothing lines. Her music is now like secondary to that.
If both dropped a brand new song, people would listen to Rihanna first breh lol. Especially since fans have begged for new music from her.

It’s your opinion either way. SZA is extremely successful and obviously a great artist that resonates with people — but she has not even touched the different levels Rihanna has nor do I truly think she has the appeal to

No you are just slow dude. I wasn't talking about anyone's personal taste including my own. And we just disagree on whose song would do better in the current climate. The end.

why are you calling me slow when I’m simply discussing music with you?

What does “she passed Rihanna musically” even mean because objectively and subjectively folks can make an argument she hasn’t done that.

nothing about my reply alluded to my personal taste :what:

I think she makes music that speaks to black women in this era, messy relationship stuff and focused on vibes over musicality. I like a lot of her stuff, and while she's very overrated to me, I get that she's a contemporary artist and try to respect that

There’s levels to this shyt

Exactly, being "Hood" and Being a "Hoodrat", ain't always the same thing.

Being a "Hoodrat" is on the "Lowest" end of the "Hood Spectrum".

There are "Classy/Upscale Hood" Chicks, "Hoodrats" have ZERO Class.

As far as general audience reception to their music. SZA is currently doing better. Rihanna 's last big song didn't light the world on fire while SZA's album did very well. And really it's because Rihanna isn't concentrating on music which I said in my first post. I'm not shytting on her. SZA is hot musically she's not by her own choice. Jeez.
