I didn't get that from that scene. Just that Penny had made the decision to not try to return to Earth and help his friends on the quest, but commit to starting a new life like Hades suggested.

They way season 2 was moving, it doesn’t even matter enjoy the ride. That pacing was something else, episodes would start and you’d be like where the hell are they now??
