The Switch 2 can probably play current gen games at 1080P, using a DLSS equivalent at 30fps at very low settings. Not ideal but it can work.

I need to see this running on the switch 2
You setting yourself up for disappointmentThe switch could barely play ps4/x1 games in a severely diminished state. Some last gen games could only be played through the cloud on switch. It struggled to run ps3/360 games at times.
Digital foundry says the switch 2 should be able to play last gen games with no issues, and thats just from looking at the hardware, that's already a generational leap from the switch. With the extra processing features, it should be able to run most current gen games with cutbacks.
Steam deck can’t even do that. What kinda magic yall think nintendo gotThe Switch 2 can probably play current gen games at 1080P, using a DLSS equivalent at 30fps at very low settings. Not ideal but it can work.
The only ones that set themselves up for disappointment were the people expecting a handheld console from Nintendo to be on the same level as the ps5/series xYou setting yourself up for disappointment
Even if you call it a “generational leap” from barely playing PS4 games and having trouble with PS3 games.
That means you are barely playing PS5 games and having trouble with PS4.
We already see handhelds on the market for about $500.
Nintendo likes to make money on their hardware. There’s just not enough power available at their usual price point for what you are calling for here.
Also battery life has to be considered. Nintendo isn’t gonna sell a $600 handheld with and hour and a half battery life.

1080p on a handheld with 30-60 fps
Nintendo games aren't known for pushing graphics or cutting edge realism. They have their niche with the cartoony stuff. I think it's possible with whatever form of upscaling they plan to use on it

I mean this should be something. I'm assuming if a current gen game was ported to the Switch 2 it'd be ugly at a low res, low ass settings running at 30fps.
