Spence doesn't have the boxing intellect to hang with Keith yet. Although the power is impressive, Spence cannot beat Thurman yet. I have never seen him fight off his back foot. He had never fought somebody that can box from the outside and keep his distance.

There's some room for growth. I think he could learn. There are times where he threw a left hook when he should have jabbed. Things like that. Only thing that cant be helped is movement. His footwork is awful and thats not something easily changed in one camp.

I think the biggest thing with Danny is he's become predictable. His chin and above average IQ are a plus but that footwork of his and speed disadvantage can only be corrected with a 100% emphasis on boxing. 147 is too talented for him not to adjust.

If you have power he respects and above average boxing (Thurman's of the world) he is in trouble. He hits too hard for soft-chinned (Khan types) and boxes too well for power punchers ( Lucas) but the ones who do both well he struggles with.

I don't know why there's this narrative that keith was running and danny was trying hard to make the fight happen. after danny got buzzed a few times, it was pretty obvious he wasn't too eager to exchange anymore. that's why he was only throwing one punch at a time. dude's eyes were glazed from the 2nd round on. I think danny knew he wouldn't be able to take many more of those shots that keith hit him with in the first 2 rounds and he decided to play it safe. keith shook him up good. those first few rounds dictated the entire course of the fight for thurman. he made danny respect his power and he had complete control from that point on. I still don't like the running from keith in the last 2 rounds, but he fought very smart overall.

His nickname One Time almost makes no sense...he's not a KO artist once the level of comp went up he adjusted. He still lunges too much for my liking (someone like Spence or Crawford could "T" him up if doesn't fix it) but he's not some crude power puncher.
