Point I'm making is he was learning he had to rely on more than his raw power and he's grown. I just think his flaws will bite his ass on a superb counter puncher and someone who commits to the body.

Danny is NICE BUT always had limitations. His talent is comparable TO ME with Vargas in that despite not being the most physically talented (like a Manny, Floyd or Thurman/Crawford to a degree) he's of the Bradley, Porter mold ( and this doesn't take away from their talent) in reflexes or movement. It comes less natural but they make up with execution or ring IQ ( although Porter can be questionable about this as well as Bradley...especially the Ruslan fight).

He has made the most out of lacking pure physical "eye popping" natural " I can't believe this nikka did that" talent to me.

Even when Danny won and I think he's talented he never blew me away. The Herrera and Peterson fights showed me his limitations. Even at his peak I never once (nor did aficionados that I knew) call him a P4P dude.

If you don't think Vargas would be trouble for Thurman's lunging ass you're nuts. He's got decent pop, is lanky and has decent fundamentals. He recovers from being dropped and Thurman ain't had a fukking KO since old man Quintana. Bundhu and fukking Collazo had him confused at times and he couldn't get them outta there.

Nikkas act like Thurman ( who I like) is fukking Manny at his peak.

Thurman clearly beats the hell out Vargas. That's not even a question to me.

I was just talking about Bradley last night at a party watching this.....Bradley IMHO seems content not to be the scalp one of ( and TR is a big factor too) these younger cats. Beating a name like him for a Spence Jr or Thurman legitimizes them as the cream of the crop. He's at a stage now where he's better to lose to a Cotto or Lara type at 154 then lose to a young lion. For him there's little upside and a huge fallout if he gets schooled/beat down by a young dude.

If Thurman couldn't stop Guerrero, Bundhu and only got a win on cuts vs. Collazo I think Vargas would be fine. It's like when nikkas keep saying Manny gonna KO someone...and he couldn't get Algeria, Vargas or Rios outta there...always talking about who nikkas KO'd 4-5 years ago or in Manny case 7.

Quintana is Thurman last legit KO in fukking 2012 and the nikka was WASHED. Nikkas live in the moment of now instead of looking at reality. And the reality is Thurman ain't no KO artist. Not above C-level. And I like Thurman. And that's a fact. Saying he will KO Vargas is not based in reality.

And I'm not even a Vargas fan like that. Thurman is #1 right now yes but he ain't head and fukking shoulders above everyone else. That lunging looping shyt at some point will get him clipped. He's athletic enough to get out of the way but someone with fundamentals will time him badly.
