I don't know why there's this narrative that keith was running and danny was trying hard to make the fight happen. after danny got buzzed a few times, it was pretty obvious he wasn't too eager to exchange anymore. that's why he was only throwing one punch at a time. dude's eyes were glazed from the 2nd round on. I think danny knew he wouldn't be able to take many more of those shots that keith hit him with in the first 2 rounds and he decided to play it safe. keith shook him up good. those first few rounds dictated the entire course of the fight for thurman. he made danny respect his power and he had complete control from that point on. I still don't like the running from keith in the last 2 rounds, but he fought very smart overall.

This goes to show you people don't know boxing, Thurman easily won, you can see it on Danny face during the fight, he knew he couldn't win lmao

shyt was thurman easiest fight at this level, Chavez gave him a tougher fight
He KO Chavez at the end though so he could won that in a better fashion but I think against Porter he most definitely had a harder fight than against Danny

after the first round, I was hyped as fukk. but the rest of the fight kind of disappointed. I think both guys felt each other's power and they didn't want to take many risks. not to mention they were sloppy as fukk at times. some of them off balance haymakers they were throwing were just :scust:....throwing wide looping punches while their bodies are damn near bent in half cause they were so shook to get hit with a counter shot. I used to think keith was a guy who could really hold the torch, but he just doesn't have that "it" factor. after last night, there's no reason for me to believe pacquiao wouldn't beat him clearly.

This Pac wouldn't beat him clearly imo
This Pac wasn't even impressive against Jessie Vargas

I don't think keith would look impressive vs vargas either:yeshrug:......vargas is tall, lanky, and awkward as fukk. but pac still dominated. I see a thurman-vargas fight being more competitive than pacquiao-vargas was. I keep expecting keith to blow me away but it never happens. I think pac's speed would give keith serious problems.

there's nothing wrong with keith as a fighter..i think its about what keith you prefer

when he boxes, he does it better than a lot of fighters..esp in his division..if youre the "boxing hit and not get hit" type, well thats your man
when he brawls, he also does it better than a lot of fighters and he can get you out of there..thats where most of his appeal is

danny non boxing ass didn't provide him enough of a challenge to let loose like he did against porter...so he boxed him up..clearly...there was no way you can see a draw much less a win for danny

I think he clearly won but he didnt dominate shyt. He gave away some rounds by moving too much and lucky he didnt get knocked down or the outcome couldve been different. He didnt close out the fight like I felt he could have/should have. If this were the days of the 15 rounders, he'd lost.
if it was 15 rounds he would have had a different strategy.
