I think it's just the judges sat down like "We gonna see a GGG KO sooner or later, everything he does up until then is just the build up and the other guy just tries to survive". I don't get it though cause Jacobs body language was not like any other GGG opponents' in the past few year. He didn't just survive, he was in the mix and he looked confident. It wasn't like Golovkin vs Murray

as for the fight, i feel bad for jacobs. i had him roughly 8-4 winning. he took the power and moved great also. traded when he wanted to, just all around good ring generalship. he did get careless on the knockdown, but i think it was more of being off balance and bouncing off the ropes while being hit.
i said to myself that if it went 12 rounds, ggg would get the nod regardless of how the fight went cause they didn't want to ruin the canelo fight.
i think ggg is tailormade for canelo though, because he comes forward with no head movement, i think canelo will be able to beat him cause he punches with good combos and we see ggg respects power. also canelo moves his head/upper body really well and transitions to offense off it fluidly. the only question mark is canelo stamina cause he usually takes a break late, but if he paces himself vs ggg- he might not fade late.
this was a fight where jacobs stock went up regardless of the decision.
it was also a rumor that GGG was trying to knock Jacobs out early to dispel criticisms from the Brook fight...
Golovkin was going for the kill in the fourth, not holding shyt back! Jacobs really did have the physical dimensions to trouble Golovkin and we saw it tonight.. The Canelo fight will play out way differently than this one.
