Can you cite another platform where most of the videos about Palestinian people came from and still are coming from? I can assure you it's not the BBC or CNN. Where do you think the videos from that region are coming from?
Was the world in the dark about the conflict between Israel and Arab states before 2016 when Tik Tok was founded?

No right?
Thank you.

They don’t want to hear it. None of those guys use the app. You not getting any of that crystal clear footage from ABC News :mjlol:

tiktok offered a different perspective that lobbyists and politicians agree they didn't want americans to entertain. thats the crux of the matter.
A different perspective?

You mean anti-war?

Yeah. We definitely never had that before.
Thank goodness TikTok brought that to light.

I love how everyone gets online and says "they're banning it because of Israel"
Yeah I'm sure that's the reason why everyone flocks to TikTok. Israeli Massacre News. We really wouldn't know how Arabs are treated without it.

It's gotta be that issue that's drawing eyeballs and registrations to that TikTok, and not the same Ass and Titties and Memes and Podcast Clips that you can find on Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, Facebook and everything else. The only difference is that one app's algorithm is considerably more addictive and manipulative than everything else -- proven by study after study.

Trump denounced the TikTok ban throughout 2024. He just urged SCOTUS to block implementation (for now).

As I showed below, key GOP sponsors admit they got the needed votes because TikTok allows too much Israel criticism. Here's Mitt Romney and Antony Blinken in May saying this.

Here, @TheoVon speculates Congress finally had the votes to shut down TikTok because the platform allowed too much Israel criticism.

No need to speculate: the bill's GOP sponsors said explicitly that this was what led Congressional Dems and the WH to finally support the bill.

Trump's didn't take a position on the ban's constitutionality. He clearly wants to protect key TikTok investors - including a major donor of his - by ensuring it's not banned but sold to a company the USG is more comfortable with (can control more). Biden still supports the ban.

I don't actually care why politicians do things if it's the right thing -- among other things, motives are unknowable -- but I explicitly mentioned this role that donation played in the second tweet.

The fact that you're out here sharing Glenn Greenwald tweets says a lot about the kind of news sources you trust.

Israel Palestine is just one example. Again you cannot see the forest before the trees. And you’ve admitted that you never even used the app before. You’re pouring jelly on yourself and you don’t even know it. You mention tik tok is such a bad thing and collects our data when all of social media does it. The very site you post on could be considered brain rot :mjlol: I mentioned it before but you have to sift through all the nonsense on every app. But what tik tok does better than any of the social media platforms you mentioned is having a great algorithm and a great tool to share info, news, current events etc. great for black business, great way to educate youth on topics that won’t be covered in school.

The real reason why the government has an issue with tik tok is its eating into the market share of traditional U.S tech companies like facebook twitter instagram and YouTube and the U.S. does not like that a massive tech giant is operating out of their control. China getting our data is fear mongering because they are already getting it from other avenues.

It’s all about control for the U.S.

It's owned by a hostile nation we are in a trade, and IP wars. Said nation regularly launches cyber attacks against our citizens.

The fact we have to keep explaining this over and over and over and over is sad :snoop:

Nikkas really acting like they can't browse videos on YT Shorts & Reels.
Day and a dollar short when Aipac has so much sway on US politics, only thing i'd say is, China don't let foreign apps rock in their country:hubie:
