Red Rose Twitter was just in agreement that it was Pelosi's fault that the Rona happened

Not the President who knew and lied about it

PELOSI :russ:
Red Rose Twitter is no better than QAnon Twitter in my opinion. Supreme edgelords that have no engagement with reality.

And my fault for cluttering up the thread a few pages back yall. Not going and back with contrarian trolls. Problem solved.

yea marsha blackburn is on fox saying the process takes about 60 days

theyre gonna start it to appease their base, but not actually vote til after the election. and if trump loses theyll just confirm her. 100 percent the way it plays out

if i had to guess, i imagine they start the process before the election 100 percent, but vote like december 1st

that gives every republican senator an out. mitch knows what hes doing :dead:

problem for Mitch is that Mark Kelly is taking that AZ seat and will be in the senate late Nov (special election). it’ll be a lot harder to push through a super conservative judge after that, so they’d be better off pushing through right away in mid November to pull it off in the lame duck session

yeah

either way, the seat is lost :dead: the republicans are putting the judge on

its up to the dems to win the senate and avenge it

thing is tho, to push through in that timeframe, trump has probably gotta name the judge some time well prior to election

and certain R senators are demanding it be one who is anti-Roe or they won’t vote (consistent with the names coming up)

think of the ads Dems can come up with in competitive senate races? just cite the proposed judge’s stance on Roe - no better motivation to vote for the Dem base (fukk what this does for the R base - they showing up regardless, it’s the Dem base showing up that we gotta worry about)

certain R senators will be a tough spot, this more easily hands the senate to dems

Dudes, want to blame Obama/Hillary/RBG for this happening. Yet, don't want to blame Democratic voters for not showing up for the 2010 & 2014 midterms and not showing up in certain key states in 2016 :snoop:
That old bytch still could have retired but nah she didn’t want a black man to nominate her replacement.. This is what that shyt is about, Obama had to deal with conservative and Neo liberal Racist

She kinda made a good point on if she stepped down Republicans wouldn't have replaced her. I honestly believe that in hindsight :francis:
So they would’ve held her seat up for 5 years? Wasn’t going to happen as Obama would have forced her replacement through during anyone of the recesses

people were saying she should step down starting in 2010. shed already had cancer twice in that time frame. there were four years after that where dems had the senate

and honestly she should have just looked at the obvious trend that after 8 years of one party, the country tends to elect the other party. republicans always at least had a shot in 2016, just like the dems were obviously gonna win in 08

shoulda fukkin stepped down in 14 :dead:

I know this is a joke post but I think he genuinely would give pause to it if somebody consistently did what you just suggested.
Based on his tweets, Jared or another ghoul in the WH has likely already convinced him that the SC pick will save his Presidency so I don't think so

agreed. even before this news.

i've always thought the dems not making the supreme court (and the courts in general, really) more of an issue was shytty strategy. i mean, it's been that way for a long time. meanwhile that whole time, republicans have been hammering that shyt home to their voters. and it payed off. big time.

Sam Seder blacked out for like two months leading up to 2016 on this exact topic. I' 100% sure there was parrallel discussion on here.

It didn't used to be this way. The NAACP pioneered the use of a holistic litigation strategy that involved trying cases at all levels of courts to build up precedents so that there would be requisite caselaw once they could push a case to the SC.

Rethugs became bitter and decided to weaponize it for themselves instead while Dems took their eyes off the ball thinking many of those Civil Rights Era cases were irreversible. We saw with the VRA carve out that this is no longer the case clearly.
