Vocal online minority indeed, I think audiences spoke with their money. In an age where Iron man solo out performs Batman and Superman together I think that speaks volumes as to how general movie goers feel.
No, i don't think that the leading character of the biggest franchise on earth outperforming them speaks to anything.

Batman v Superman still did almost 900 million.

Iron man doing bigger numbers than arguably the first and second/third most popular Superhero characters together should be concerning considering this was their first joint cinematic venture together. Essentially this was DC’s foray to Avengers and it failed. It has been widely reported that BVS was seen as underperforming. When they didn’t hit an expected Billi it was shocking.

Nah, Robert Downey Jr is the highest paid actor in the superhero film inudstry, he has made iron man bigger than Supes and Batman, and the numbers you mention literally prove it, Not just how much the movies earned but also how much he is paid. Plus he just came off the Avengers which was the biggest event in superhero film history. you can't ignore that to support your argument. They wouldn't have even made a Batman V Superman film if not for Iron man revamping the genre. and making crossover teamups in live action a thing.
You can't treat Batman and Superman as bigger ips simply because of their past legacies. MCU and the avengers surpassed their highest peaks back in 2012. They have yet to reach that level iron man has taken it to. Iron man isn't a b list character anymore, they were using him to help sell spiderman not so long ago, he leap frogged all of them

My point still stands, besides a few years prior Batman was cracking a billi solo as well but all of a sudden with the first joint venture of Superman and Batman together they can’t do it? Something doesn’t add up :jbhmm: and I think it’s clear as day that audiences just didn’t take to the interpretations of the characters and in particular Cavills Superman.

People online are calling the dig woke because its not a labrador :dead:

Krypto is non-binary! :bryan:

The people disliking him don't know what they want

They want a Superman that doesn't seem depressed, dour, and disinterested. They want a Superman that isn't petty, and doesn't have shytty adoptive parents that insinuate that maybe school kids should die drowning in a bus, or that he doesn't owe humanity jack shyt. He's an optimistic character who does the job not because of destiny, but because he can, and it's the noble thing to do.

The only DCEU movie where he felt like Superman was Justice League

The movie was successful though. so no it doesn't.
You just tried to act like it flopped because it didn't do as well as their bigger competitor

:mjlol:2 of the most iconic superheroes of all time. Sharing the big screen together for the first time couldn’t crack a billi crazy.

I am saying they underperformed and I don’t really think that’s debatable.
sure, you can that. but we would still have different reasons for why.

I think WB just rushed the formula. MCU didn't start doing a billie on their films until they were about 5 movies deep and built up hype for all the characters. with their own solo films.
This was only their second movie and afflecks first appearance as batman, and wonder womans first appearance as well. had they had released wonderman first and batman movie then did a teamup with all three the movie probably would have done a billion too,

You still trying to act like this is all on Cavill though, so why even bring up batman?
