Put it like this, he's already made dc movies and shows before. people like superman, flash, aquaman etc appeared in them. And he had them joking about fukking fish and cursing.

assuming he tones that down and wants to make superman more family friendly, we've seen that before in guardians, none of those characters were comedic in the comics.

So at its most mature this will be like a Deadpool movie but starring superman. which is still starting to get corny imo.
at worst this is batman with arnold as mr freeze and jim carrey as the riddler campy level if he goes the family friendly route. but starring supes
Most likely this will somewhere in between, which essentially means, a new Shazam movie but starring superman.

if he makes a wholly unique tone to his other films i will give him props. but his filmography says otherwise.

People said Coates messed up his T'Challa Wakanda comic series so he'd probably mess up a Black superman as well. He'd likely make him a superc00n focused on "respectable" behavior and protecting cac interests.


What someone needs to do though is develop a Batman or Tony Stark like figure that fights against cac racial terror and protects Black people. Sort of like Malcolm X with even more power.

They actually could go that route with hardware

The whole dakotaverse would make for great shows/films
