still don't trust Gunn as a rounded film maker. I'm more of a Russo fan than a Gunn fan when it comes to comicbook movies.

Too many people want Superman to be what i would describe as "campy" when i feel like Man of Steel got the tone correct.

James Gunn style is better suited for a comedic type character, If he had done this in reverse and was jumping over to marvel to do a spiderman franchise, i would think it was a perfect match.

But like any true comic fan, i'mma watch this when it comes out and judge for myself.
Nah Man of Steel was awful, the correct tone for Superman is "All Star Superman" hopefully Gunn gives us something closer to that.

All star superman seems like a good way to end a superman trilogy, not to open one with. Which tells me he's probably go make it unrecognizable to the source material.

Gunn doesn't just do 'comedy' there's a lot of dramatic elements to his movies even in Guardians of the Galaxy, especially Vol. 3. Those heartfelt moments were among the best of the MCU.
The way he developed Rac00n's character. He had that baby voice when he had to play a role but he found out, he wasn't never going to the planet, he git mad as hell and developed the voice that he gas now. He's still mad.

Nobody brings up those moments... Lets keep it a buck.. People keep saying GotG was a great trilogy but the second was def trash... The first had an ending that ruined the whole shyt.. And the third was good

Everyone's brings up those moments. The scenes in Vol. 3 that involved Rocket and his friends was the most talked about material in the whole movie.

The scenes of team building in 'Peacemaker' were one of the reasons why that got rave reviews.

Disagree. The whole point of Snyder's version of him (before he died) was to protect him knowing that he had powers. If people knew that, they'd treat him as a freak and the gubment would come after him knowing that he was an Alien.

The point of the comic was to show that Pa Kent taught Supes to value life regardless of any personal consequences.

This is much more consistent with how the comics treats their relationship than how Snyder portrayed it. The comics have been mocking the Synderverse with panels like these since Batman v Superman came out.

Smallville managed to do that handle that dilemma better, 40 mins an episode, for nearly decade. Countless comics are able to write around this.

Snyder's interpretation is nothing more than a product his rightwing paranoia on how institutions threaten individuality. Not saving people because "personal reasons" is fundamentally against what Superman is about. Especially the modern Jesus variation people keep trying to push him into.

"I was going to cure their blindness but the Romans keep making the block hot"

you don't have that kinda time with a movie.

I still don't have a problem with it.

I thought he handled it fine IMO.

Biggest issue was the Reeves nuthuggers not wanting to let go. Superman Returns flopped for that exact reason.
