Did you like the Guardians movies? They had levity in them but they also had a lot of serious moments especially in part 3. I'd expect this movie to be the same way, it's definitely not gonna be like Snyder's 'Man of Steel' and I was one of the bigger fans of Snyder's interpretation. I don't believe there's a "right" or a "wrong" way to do Superman, the character has been around for decades, it has several iterations.

You'll hate this. What about Peacemaker or 'The Suicide Squad'? I don't think this will be as dark as those but that's Gunn's other comic book work

There's a lot of old timey humor in those Superman comics. I don't know if it's gonna be exactly like Guardians but there was always gonna be humor because most superman comics do have some humor. There's some stories that are super serious but I didn't think he'd take from those.

Yeah I was so puzzled by that, they should call him master Kal-El or Kal-El. A sweet scene would be them calling him master Kal-El and him saying either Clark is fine or Kal-El is fine. That would be a very Superman thing to do. They now need to start marketing for this instead of the teasing they have been doing. They need to drop a trailer that will blow people away like the initial teaser.

Or maybe he told them not to call him by his Kryptonian name?
