I could do without Krypto. That scene fell completely flat to me and was the wrong time for that level of goofiness. Maybe he'll do something cool in the movie but I can't take a super dog seriously. It just feels like one of these cheesy cartoon sidekicks made to bring in the kids.

The robots and the sun beam were cool though.

To be fair, you're not supposed to take Krypto seriously. He is (mostly) just a cheesy sidekick character.

Despite his powers his still essentially a dog, initially he was excited to see his master but when Clark gives him an order he eventually complies. All indications from what Gunn has said he is still essentially like a puppy and is a bit (untrained as of yet) guessing the dog might have an arc. You are right in the sense that it does undermine the seriousness of a hurt Superman but it doesn’t seem like the scene is dragged on to long.
Yeah I mean you can tell when people just have negative lenses on and that’s how everything is viewed. As you indicated Krypto is a puppy and one can easily see a scenario where in real life the owner is hurt and an exuberant puppy first encountering them wants to play. Obviously dog sensibilities are different from humans. Now one can say they don’t care for seeing Superman get hurt worse by his dog and that’s reasonable. However it’s more “realistic” that an untrained puppy would react that way seeing its master than immediately sensing they’re hurt and dragging them to help.

My only nitpick with the scene is that he looks in pain when the sun hits him when traditionally he’s invigorated when its rays restore his power. But a minor issue.

General audiences aren't "rabid MCU stans" they are exactly what they are. Everyday moviegoers. Nobody gives a fukk what some random somewhere is nitpicking about, the movie hinges on whether the GA will like it or not. Nothing "sassy" about it, it's facts.

You want me to direct something to specific posters? Stop nitpicking dumb shyt about a movie that's 2 hours long and you've seen 3 minutes.... :mjlol:
