now you're being very semantically specific. I said more powerful, more abilities. Not just stronger or capable of dead-lifting more weight. Even side characters follow this thread. Falcon started out with just wings and two uzis, now he has a remote guided drone, and missiles that shoot from the shoulders. Bucky had a steel arm, now he has a vibranuim arm. etc.

Strangely Hulk, and Haweye are the only ones who stayed at their original level since the beginning. But ironically, it looks like they will both be upgraded in the next movie.

I don't get the Steppenwulf/Thanos comparisons. Thanos washed the two most powerful Avengers within 5 minutes of the movie starting....it would be like if Steppenwolf knocked out Superman and....let's say Flash....in the opening of "Justice League".

This is probably the part where someone points out that Steppenwolf isn't meant to be on Thanos level....that's more Darkseid....but that's not the point. The point is Thanos was immediately established as a threat and Steppenwulf was only a threat until Superman showed up. Thor could only fukk with Thanos after he got a serious power upgrade (Stormbringer) and even then he failed to kill him.

C'mon fam. No offense but it seems like you're being intentionally obtuse.

There is some exceptions (Vision being the most obvious one) but damn near every MCU character is more powerful now, than when they were introduced.

Cap was struggling to beat Red Skull in the first movie, in "Infinity War" he was strong enough to hold off Thanos for a second, which is so nuts people thought he secretly had an Infinity Stone when that trailer dropped.

Doctor Strange went from barely knowing how to use magic in his movie, to going toe-to-toe with a 4 Stone Thanos in "Infinity War".

Tony Stark went from building scrap metal armor in a cave to nanotechnology.

Even weaker characters like Black Widow went from only ever fighting street level villains to fukking up Corvis Glaive. Which is such an upgrade it caused fans to complain.

So yeah....if you took the earliest appearance of these characters in the MCU and put them in "Infinity War" they wouldn't even last as long as they did. Hell, The Black Order would've washed half of them in the first 30 minutes of the movie.

Cap struggled against Loki then put beats on Proxima Midnight.
Thor got that work from a dark elf and then one shotted thanos with an infinity gauntlet.
Ironman was getting shot down by tank shells and now can take a moon to the face without blinking.

I have a feeling Captain Marvel will start out like Ironman level (except obviously she does it organically without a suit.) Flies, strong, can shoot energy blasts, etc.

He did wash Hulk without using any Stones....re-watch the scene. Any time he used a Stone it would light up....he never used the Power Stone when he fukked up Hulk.

People tend to forget Thanos is a beast even without the Gauntlet.

Noticed that last night. Whenever Thanos used the gauntlet, the correct stones light up to reflect what he's been doing. Dat attention to detail.

He really was. I hated Affleck in Justus League. he just kept getting his ass kicked by those parademons like a putty from Power Rangers....and then they had this nikka shooting a gun.....A GUN. Bats don't use guns. I hate with all these movie they all miss out on Bats character (Bale and Affleck both sucked as Batman).
But as far as the topic goes I had no problem with Supes mopping the floor with Steppenwolf. He wasn't Darkseid so I already knew that ass whipping was coming. I had a problem with the whole motherboxes thing. If they were activated after he "died" why didnt they awaken before he got to Earth or why did they not shut off when Supes came back to life....aaaargh. I'm so conflicted with that movie. I heard the OG script was suppose to have Darkseid Anti Life Equation instead of the motherboxes.

I feel ya. The plot holes in these movies can be headscratching like a mufukka. But all these comic book movies have plotholes in them, so

Wonder Woman was the star without question but heel Superman being the difference between winning and losing was ridiculous.

True the writers did a bad job with his resurrection. That story was rushed and should have been done in later justice league movies. They should have made him vuranable to magic and then have him fight shazam (captain marvel) and have the rest of league figure out a way to unbrainwash him.

Or do those 4 superman stories and have superman come back and team up with steel and superbly (or switch with supergirl) to take down cyborg superman (and in a twist make him be metallo)
