I’m disappointed I wanted an updated adventure mode or sub space but whatever.
It looks like Sub Space emissary.
I see a world map, I see some cutscenes(The inkling fighting this robot in some weird factory), Pokemon trainer riding Lapras etc. If there's a lot of CG scenes like the one showed in the video then it should be a cool mode. Adventure mode in Melee was just a few side scrolling stages/fights mixed with cutscenes.
Single player looks trash but let's keep it 100, nobody is coppin smash for the single player.
This is a party game at its core and in that lane it has no equal in the entire video game space.

I watched it again and it looks like just another form of event mode.
Your put in a match under different circumstances and rules that you have to beat. Sounds just like event mode but now your in a overworld with puzzles and items .Doesn’t really sound to thrilling to me I need to see more of it
I wish this was more like melee adventure mode where you run through different Nintendo worlds and fight the boss of that world and go to the next one. That’s what I wanted
