When the project was first announced and they were talking about casting, they were saying the studio was going for Leto/Hardy/Smith/Robbie.

I though it was just on some wish list shyt. Cara signed first I believe and people assumed she would be Harley.

Hardy dropped out because of conflicts with the Revenant.

He turned it down due to scheduling conflicts. In an interview he said if it was possible he would still love to play as Bane again. That's our Hardy.
