hell no, they wouldn't even be profitable for movie studios, the movie theaters barely make anything of ticket sales and most of the time nothing at all

The HBOMAX deal being an exception because the studios had a contract with AMC so in order to get movies on HBOMAX they had to cut AMC in o profits from HBOMAX streaming in order for them to allow it

but theaters make their money from concessions, that's why all the food is overpriced, the profit margins on popcorn are ridiculous, and the stretching the soda further than jay-z could do with the raw there's a reason why AMC theaters have been around for 100 years, and why star theaters haven't gone out of business even though they are only in select states

It increases as weeks pass.

So opening weekend they may only get 25% but the amount of bodies plus overpriced concessions is a balance.

In week 6 the might get 60 percent but demand is down so studios have gotten most of the meat off the bone.

So when studios make an Avatar or Endgame that plays well for months they both eat well.

Disney played a power move a few years back to get like 80% of opening weekend cause they were making so many billion dollar movies.

No it's not, the cost is the in the executive summary, so minus what you spent on marketing from the overall gross and that's the profit, the theaters don't get half you can literally google this, the theater has nothing to do with that, they aren't in the movie business, and each theater is different, from the single owner, to chain of theaters, or franchises

BvS had a coherent plot

Amanda Waller literally sent the suicide squad to rescue herself

The movie was probably chopped up through multiple filming and rewrites

And they edited it badly

The villain is literally some no name nikka that were never properly introduced to

Lol BVS is the worst dc film ever, worst than batman and robin. it's a complete disrespect to the batman and superman franchise.

if i was on a plane and the options were suicide squad or bvs i would pick suicide squad.

Depends on the studio & contract. For big studios it's probably the 3rd week the split happens. That's why studios focus so much on the opening week & the 2nd week dropoff #s
