Yeah, I think that's making things worse. Now, if you don't have the clothes, girls, and other things, in the inner city you are considered worthless. It was like that in the late 80's-90's, but nothing like now. The shyt is ridiculous.

I was listening to Star on his YouTube show, and he said he noticed shyt going down when hip hop started making everything about the gear, and how cool you was. When I think about it, I think he is right. But notice how it all comes back to the women. Men ain't getting fly for each other, and women ain't getting fly for the men. They are doing it to impress each other, they know they can get a guy somewhere down the line. Women want to impress each other more then for men.

I truly believe when our women wake up, we will grow, and be a powerful force in this world.

Man,breh this post is 100% the truth,I was just about to go into detail about what I posted but you did it for me,I grew up less fortunate than others and kids have a way of making you feel bad,but now as you said every rapper and everybody just glamorizes the shoes,clothes,cars,and they not doing it for the opposite sex,they competing with each other as you said.

Social media is everywhere so you cant hide from it,some young black kids from the hood don't have 300 dollars to go grab the new trues,but every other child in his school has them on and he logs into social media he see's other kids around the world with them on,hears rappers talk about how if you aint gettin no money/bytches you aint shyt,its too much for this generation,this generation is all about money,money,money,money,and while as kids/young teens could go outside,play video games,etc to get away from all these children know today is social media/technology.

Look at these 4 and 5 year olds with Ipads and shyt?!!! Man we wasn't thinking of nothing like that in the 80's and 90's,it's a tough time to be a kid if you are poor,and I feel for them deeply

I have an aunt who had her first child as a teenager by the most lowlife nikka you can imagine. Proceeded to have 2 more kids with said dude over the years out of wedlock, and the effects on them all (1 girl, 2 boys) are clear to anyone. The middle boy is one of the smartest kids I've ever seen, true future surgeon/scientist etc, but has struggled with depression and issues all due to his worthless mama and overall trash situation.

I've been acting like an older brother figure to them for as long as I can remember, but shyt breaks my heart and makes me furious af when we do shyt like this to kids who have to grow up seeing white/asian etc families together and passing wealth down bcs women get raised with fukked up desires/so many dudes realize that to get the most p*ssy, you have to be a stereotype for our women, so even dudes who should know better perpetuate shyt

I agree but from what I've seen, it isn't about sex, its about egos.

I believe a lot of women could raise strong men, but for some reason they have a need to be about themselves. They will support the children with the basics such as food, clothing, and shelter, but when it comes to the emotions, they can't do it. I thought it was just me, but as I got older, I see it is wasnt, and it is still happening from what I see.

With the daughters, they do it because they are females themselves so they can do more things with them, and relate to them. With a son, you really have to sacrifice to be involved with them, and from what I see most aren't willing to do that.

The sad thing is, in our community the mother, and grandmother is GOD, and that means you can't talk about the things they do that hurt us, and that means the bullshyt will just keep going because even if you are in your child's life, if you don't get along with the mother, in the end you will lose your power, and she will be the one to guide the child the way she wants him to go. It's not just black children, its starting to hit every race.

I know for me when I started acknowledging what I felt was wrong, I got more power within myself. Unfortunately, I became the bad guy in most people's eyes. I don't give a fukk, I'm a man, and stand on my own. I just wish we as a people would stop playing these bullshyt games because its hurting us. Women need to accept when they are in the wrong, and stop playing that "I was a bad mother" game to gain sympothy.

And we as men need to grow up, and stop trying to make our parents happy, and not ruffle any feathers. You can love someone, and tell them the truth of how they are. If not, you will end up marrying or impregnating a new version of your mother, and the bullshyt will continue with your children. I don't think it's a coincidence that a lot of men end up hating their baby mothers, even though they picked them. They never dealt with their mother issues, and end up being with their mother, 2.0.

I don't know about other posts, but I wrote, the lack of telling the truth, being open with emotions, and having big egos, effect girls too. Until we both come to an agreement, nothing is going to change with us. It's going to always be either "you hate black women", " you hate your mother", or, "you have issues". I heard it all, but rarely heard women admit when they were wrong.

In my case, I wasn't bashing black women, just stating what I've observed over the years.

If suburban whites were placed in the projects and faces with the same trials and tribulations black & latinos face in the inner city , janitors would be cleaning up the floor of remains from them jumping out the windows . Not saying black people are exempt for committing suicide but we know how to cope during tough situations if they said it rises slightly then maybe I would believe it , but damn near double ... lml iight . I believe it. Blacks have endured a lot and continue to do so but we are not superhuman and at some point we are going to crack. Mental issues is a big problem that we don't address enough.

I agree with the last sentence , we do tend to act like mental issues are a facade and that cats should toughen up , but I refuse to believe black suicide skyrocketed like that & off the strength that they said white people are at 1.31 in suicide is outlandish .

Honestly, I believe it. When I think on how much work still remains to be done on a psychological level, I am surprised it is not higher than that. We need to show our vulnerability more so we can see how self destructive we have become as a collective.
