Just my assumption, but the lines about "other nikkas gotta ask if you could live" i think is in reference to Jay's "Can I live" song and the line about repping for Jay's projects is probably in reference to the Marcy line in Trife Life which Jay responded to on Where I'm From and from which a lot of that beef seemed to stem from
