Styles isn’t basic. How can u listen to shyt like Nobody Believes Me and feel that way?

Dude is bugging. They like that flip flop acrobatic fitting syllables into the bars shyt. Which is cool but it doesn't make nikkas a better lyricist.

Banks couldn't come up with a concept record like nobody believes me and tell that kind of story. Which is far from basic and the opitime of lyricism

Banks for me:yeshrug:

Styles couldn't do a verse like this. I don't care what y'all say.

One of the most amazing displays of punchline rapping ever, but it's not the only measure of an elite emcee. In fact, Banks himself said that he moved away from this style because he didn't think it was as powerful as more narrative rap, which is kind of what Styles specializes in.

I've been defending Banks hard in this thread, but I really don't think this is the best argument that Banks is better, if someone wants to take that stance. Being better at punchlines doesn't him a better rapper.

Lloyd Banks. He's incredibly underrated as an emcee. His mixtape run was crazy. He can give you punchlines, stories, introspective, party vibe, or straight bars, whatever you want. And his flow is really effortless.

Styles is a good emcee, but not as polished as Banks.

P no contest. Some of ya'll clearly aint up on his discography and it shows. No way you can listen to Style's body of work and come with this question.

And thats no slight to Banks he is easily one of the greatest NY rappers of all time.

However P got some of the greatest verses in the history of this genre, he goes THAT in with it.

Some of his verses will have you questioning life and shyt lol

Young Banks, older Banks it doesn't matter. Bar for Bar Styles ain't better:hubie:

And he's not a better song maker cuz Banks has more hit records
