Young Banks, older Banks it doesn't matter. Bar for Bar Styles ain't better:hubie:

And he's not a better song maker cuz Banks has more hit records
I’m literally listening to AON as I’m writing this message, but just because the 1st song below was a bigger hit than the 2nd song below, doesn’t mean it’s a better song

I'll add.... Banks is cool...... But Styles got thousands of classic verses, lines, appearances, etc where he out shined people.

He (and Scarface ) also have some of the best opening lines ever

"Catch me with a .38 box of shells, in a 98 Lincoln eating pasta shells...."

"Sitting at the Amaco, lighting up botanical, seen a nikka grilling me, should let the hammer go..."

"I dont give a fukk who you are, so fukk who you are"

:ohlawd:

Then the bars that flow from that shyt. The aggressiveness, the introspection, the humor, the rawness, the confident awareness of who is. Man stop playing.

Styles P easy.

there's a whole generation of people that will always overrate and hold onto Banks
just because he was the first rapper that impressed you with a witty punchline when you were young.

he's still nice and Banks moving away from the heart punchlines was smart but eh...his voice is terrible, he has little to no charisma now, there isn't much variety, he tends to pick variations of the same beat, which all adds up to a slog of a listen where everything just blends blandly.

I did say at the time his last tape was a step in the right direction though but I don't think I listened to it more than a few times.
interested to see what he drops next week.

If this next project has a bunch of those sleepy Doe Pesci beats I may chew a tv screen.

Banks is nice but Styles might fukk around and spit a classic verse if he feels like it

I don't think Banks has that classic quality in him

He's dope but I don't think he completed his evolution due to his attitude towards this rapping shyt :manny:
