When I was a kid, I thought it was two different people in Lauryn Hill's Doo Wop video and not Hill in different attire representing two different time periods.

I was like in the 6th grade when Pamela Anderson's and Tommy Lee's sex tape first came out. I thought Tommy Lee was Tommy Lee Jones the actor and not Tommy Lee the rock star. I never saw the tape so I always assumed it and I was like old ass Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) gets to fukk Pamela Anderson every night! My friends were like those are two different people . Finally saw on MTV Tommy Lee the rock star in like 1997 and realized it was two different people.

I really thought Scott Hall the wrestler was a Cuban drug dealer or at least a real life Cuban refugee. Found out years later he was some country cac from Florida with a tan.

As a kid I used to think Whataburger was called WATERburger. I was wondering why people wanted to eat a hamburger soaked in water.

I fell in the shower and tore the lid off the tank of the toilet to brace my fall when i was 10 and broke that shyt. My pops beat me like a slave cuz he said he didnt have the money to spend on new toilets and so he was gonna take it out on me because he had to buy a entire new toilet . I grew up thinking that toilets were expensive for one thing........and not even knowing you could just buy the lid by itself for like 15 bucks.

Some cousins that lived in the US and came for the holidays used to have this video playing at their crib all the time (it was so rare over here at the time). shyt blew my mind something serious. I had the face every time it would come on.

I didn't know shyt about the US at the time. So to this day I'm amazed to remember how back when I first watched this my first realization was:
1 - "Puff Daddy must the leader of this little group "
And the question that wouldn't shut up in my mind was "America is a country of white people, who let him be this outrageous and why?"
A decade and some change later I find out Mase is the only one who could actually rap. I thought he was the filler and only let on in front of the camera for being light skinned.

It was the first Afram video I saw, and after seeing some other ones I could've sworn Aframs were the most daring and bold black people on earth. They live around white people and they get to do all this??? Wild shyt.
