You are misreading what I wrote. I didn't say the organization should actively look to get rid of him. I agree, we would be absolute shyt without him. All I'm saying is that if he walked, I wouldn't be as disappointed as I would have been if this situation had played out in the past. His tenure in New York has been nothing but a huge disappointment and its a bit delusional to think that he hasn't played any role in that.
i think youre expecting more out of melo than you should. he's not in the same league as the lebrons, durants, kobe's, duncan, etc., so we cant hold him to that standard. melo's in that second tier with blake, steph, harden, etc... he's been a scorer since he came in the league. he's not a leader, he's not a great defender, he doesn't have a great attitude, he puts up buckets. this has been his resume since his rookie year so i dont know why we would expect something different this year.
melo averaged 27, 8, and 3 this year... sun did what he was supposed to do.
