Under the tax not the cap. I really just wanted them to bite the bullet and pay the tax for a year. All those contracts we dumped were expiring anyway. Getting a prospect back would make it look better.

I knew a priority this offseason was going to be shedding salary which would likely come at the cost of us having to attach assets to get rid of some guys. I never expected to get much in return. I like their moves overall. Signed Jokic long-term. Kept Barton. Acquired IT to give us scoring off the bench for this season. Drafted potential star in MPJ. Got rid of Chandler, Faried, and DA and didn’t have to mortgage our future to do it.

Overall it’s been a good offseason. I just wish they’d pay the tax for one year. Theoretically it’ll be a pick in the 20s but I’d rather keep it. Donovan Mitchell and MPJ went with our pick the last 2 years

I'll be paying close attention to the Nuggest this season. Y'all have a nice squad with some quality, playoff-tested players (Millsap and IT), some very good up-and-comers (Jokic, Barton and Harris) and, if healthy, MPJ would end up being a steal.

I expect y'all to be a 7/8th seed in the East and get at least 50 wins.
