I’m guessing Juancho will compete with Craig for backup 3. If they trade lyles so they don’t lose him for nothing if they don’t wanna pay him one of them would slide into the backup 4.

Wasn’t Parker pretty washed last year? My dream scenario would be something like plumlee and next year’s first for Dinwiddie. Gets us under the tax, max cap space next year, and I like Dinwiddie more than anyone out there in FA.
Not that dumping Plumlee wouldnt be nice but I think Malone loves him too much.
:francis:That fukkboy has more PFs than teams can dream of but instead he sticks Jok at the 4 every chance he gets. I hope Vanderbiit can be healthy, hes the type 4 Ive been hoping they'd put next to Nikola

Yeah, Plumlee and faried need to be traded. Malone tends to be his own worst enemy at times and his substitutions stay suspect. I believe this team is talented enough to make the playoffs, I just believe Malone is going to hold them back.

It’ll be Barton. The Murray/Harris/Barton/Sap/Jokic lineup was elite last year.

That leaves Beasley, Craig, lyles and Plumlee (if he can’t be dumped) as the bench. That lineup needs a good point guard. Just not enough offense.
I think I saw a number the other day that that five only played 65 minutes together, but it was one of the most effective units in the nba

this team is gonna put up some POINTS this year

I think hes done this year barring the Nugs clinch a top 4 see, which isnt impossible but likely. Im over Malone though. The more involved he is in the offense the worse it is and whatever defensive talents he was touted for clearly arent translating to this squad. Im willing to see what he can do this year though, injuries made last years run hard to guage

I don’t think Malone is necessarily a bad coach, he just make sure some strange choices and takes too long to scrap them if they don’t work. He also wants to play slow it down, defense, set plays ball and that’s not what this roster is built for.

He definitely feels like our Mark Jackson.

Honestly, I would love to see what a Coach who runs a heavy ball movement system could do to this young impressionable roster. May be on the verge of one of the most fun nuggets teams to watch since the 57 win team

I just want a coach that can get creative with defensive scheme and teach defense. Like I feel like trey lyles would be a good defender if he played for Boston. All you need to do on offense is put the ball in jokic’s hands and points will come. I need someone that can hide his weaknesses on defense and make the other guys better. Murray and MPJ have the size and athleticism to be elite defenders, just need someone to get it out of them.

The defense aspect is the most concerning of Malone’s coaching game especially when he is known as a defensive coach. Well I am a fan of jokic, I still would like a multi-faceted attack predicated on ball movement because at times the offense gets stagnant when jokic is out our having a rough game especially with all the offensive weapons we got and with the possibility of mpj being a great iso threat would keep teams guess on how to defend us.

I think Parker is done. I pray we don’t grab him. I don’t see any good from him being on the team on the court or off it.

I’d like Dinwiddie too. Trading Plumlee would leave a hole at that backup 4-5 spot but it would be nice to get out of that contract (which I hated from the beginning) so including him in any deal would be worth it. Hopefully Millsapp can stay healthy so possible loss of Plumlee isn’t too painful. Ideally I hope we can keep our firsts in any future trades but I get it may be necessary if we want to get some more salary off the books. That Chandler trade was so good, though. I don’t think we have to make another deal which should give us more leverage.

I actually think we could be fine as is. Malone has got to give these young guys an opportunity though. Let them see what they can do. Hell, one or two of them could pan out and then we have some real depth.

Monte Morris lookin like one of those highly drafted sophomores that got all rookie team that doesn’t really need to be at summer league. I still think we need a proven backup PG but monte might win that spot at some point this year.

I think going with Morris as the backup would be the best choice. He will have some growing pains but the only way he can prove he will be a capable back up point guard is if he gets the chance to do so.

Normally I’d agree with you, but the bench got slaughtered most of last year and Barton will be a starter. Beasley, Craig & Plumlee are non-scorers, so a lot of weight is gonna fall on the PG to create shots. Morris might be able to be that guy, but if he’s not, it’s gonna be just like last year.

Shabazz Napier would be dope.

I think Morris is playing well enough to get a shot at the back up pg spot. Cancar is a pleasant surprise though. Beasley been a mixed bag.

Morris has been great. He’s got me to the point where we might just need a vet min guy to complete with him.
