Safe to say MPJ has been unleashed:lolbron:

20 and 9 over the last 20 games while shooting 60% from the field and 50% from 3. The AG trade is really taking away from how much work he's been putting in since start of March

He's playing better too...making better decisions, becoming a better defender, amongst other things. AG is the icing on the cake tbh...sky's the limit for this squad

Agreed, I'm interested to see how the Nuggets will fare against teams with an elite guard (Jazz, Suns) leading the squad. Barton's a very solid defender when engaged but that's where the loss of Gary will definitely be felt

One thing that's always been underrated about MPJ is his instincts as a help defender. AG being here will only help his defensive development

Also it's wild to me in the modern day NBA where if you run past a shooter and they fall its FT attempts that Jokic didn't get a whistle on that Sombor Shuffle he hit over Plumlee last night. The refs holding their whistle is good prep for the playoffs, I guess, but it's a little disturbing that Joker can spend the entire season as a top 2 MVP candidate and still not get love from the officials. It's beyond blatant at this point. I think over the last 10-11 games he only has 30 FT attempts, maybe less

That doesn’t concern me as much as I think dozier had shown to be a better defender than Barton. Barton concerns me with his unscripted offense and decides to play hero ball for no reason. What does concern me is the bench which I think would be boosted by Barton prescence on it.

Yeah PJ would be big in a suns or jazz series. Which terrifies me because seeing him start to dribble immediately makes me cringe

Yeah after seeing the last few games your Barton on the bench game is spot on. The bench is ass, Jamal is the only offensive weapon in that unit. Dozier starting would offset his offensive deficiencies and Barton could have more chances to put up shots. The only remaining question is how will Mike Malone manage his assets

That Monte/PJ/Barton/Green/McGee bench lineup killed yesterday. I think Barton should still start since that starting lineup has been the best lineup in the league this year, but I think it should be Barton subbing out early for Monte or PJ, instead of Murray. Keeps that bench lineup big and Barton is more willing to gun when that bench can’t generate offense than Murray is.

I know it was just one game but the bench issue is not going to go away and Malone’s line ups which he admitted to struggling with shouldn’t be that much of a struggle. That man is going to cost the nuggets a series.

Kept that second unit in way too long. Can't do that against contenders fam.

the milsap/green frontcourt makes no damn sense and it never did. Javale and Green is the pairing and milsap needs to be at the end of the bench unless it is garbage time and the nuggets are up big

Yeah he's well past his prime. I was literally thinking this, the only upside is that he's a better three point shooter
