Its what I wanted all along....

I "settled" for SF4 because it was good, but I was salty as fukk back in 08 when they revealed the water color ink style when I wanted sprites.

THEN Guilty Gear Xrd came out and I was like "THATS what Capcom needs to do".....and the SFV reveal came and they....didn't.

When Capcom tried the 3D look people were saying the 2D look is their lane and they should stay in it :deadmanny:

Oh how the times have changed
Yeah but there are still many who aren't fond of it. I'm in the minority where I've prefered the 3d look from the beginning. If Capcom went back to straight up sprites, that would please a lot, but making sprites nowadays is too expensive compared to the 3d model making process.

I do think the Xrd look would look good if they decided to do another Alpha game. That series has more of an anime look, so that would make more sense. But again, the process Arcsys uses is unique and somewhat more complicated than those may think. I honestly would be surprised if a company like Capcom would apply it.

I've heard this numerous of times. How is it more expensive? Time wise?

Yeah time wise especially with how the hd sprites are nowadays. Half of it is companies being too cheap to pay people. Especially when your competitors are out there doing 3d models as well.

A new fighting game with some good clean 2d sprites would be dope, but I feel like the only ones willing to do that are the smaller/indie developers. Bigger heads like Capcom see it as a waste of time and money I feel.

THEY should try it with Darkstalkers and Rival Schools, people want those games back badly.

fukk Capcom and it's fanboys. Capcom keeps on milking on nostalgia but there's a time where it will wear off. They love releasing every year their "Anniversary" editions. They keep on fukking up the RE games. Fans have been demanding for years for a Darkstalker release, Dino Crisis, and Rival Schools release but yet they keep on releasing street fighter or shytty resident evil. These b*stards are content on being conservative on their releases as they know the fans boys will eat the shyt up. Also, fukk Konami and other companies that milk off the same franchise.
