Expecting nothing from Capcom is different from expecting the status quo. At launch SFV we got 16 characters, under 10 stages, 2 barebones modes, no story mode, no trials mode.

MKX launched with 24 characters (with distinct fighting styles that basically make them more than 24 characters), substantial story mode, several arcade modes, krypt, interactive stages and faction mode. NRS is the king of singleplayer content for fighting games nowadays so I know the bar is set high there but it shouldn't be unrealistic to expect Capcom to compete :patrice:

SFV was given to us incomplete, and clearly so. They rushed it out so they could cash out on CPT and DLC. It works out for the hardcore/pro players who was gonna play any SF game they can get their hands on because that's their income, and new games usually mean new money, but for everybody else it's just annoying.
Why jump from one extreme to another? Yes, SFV was released incomplete, but AE will be way more robust than any SF launch title...which is why i was saying that saying AE is what SFV should've been at launch is retarded...point me to a launch SF title that has stacks of content or a fully realised fighting system? :dahell:

People jump back and forth between giving too many passes to expecting too much :snoop:

??? That can be said for any further iteration of a SF game

And to expect everything we'll have at the launch of AE to be how the game should've started off is a bit retarded

I think people are really underselling just how big of a leap AE will be from the current version of SFV that we have

Have they fixed the input lag yet? :mjpls:

Judging by the previous 2 Seasons of SFV, they've been releasing characters every other month. So you won't see that Green sonuvabytch no sooner than March.
Wait so arcade edition is in a few weeks but they not dropping any season 3 characters till March? Wtf.

At this point breh people will run with whatever bs narrative they want, "Crapcom at it again, Lag Input that's inherent to unreal 4, when's Sagat,".

Had capcom explicitly stated the vanilla release was targeted directly at esports I think they could've avoided a lot of flack. As for the MKX comparisons somebody tell me the last time a tournament was announced or had over 1,000 viewers.

Either your happy with the way SFV is going or go play another game. The FGC is growing like crazy, why bytch about one game when there is a literal fukkton of games to fill you niche.

It’s crazy that since the update a few weeks ago, Tekken 7 now has less input lag than SFV. Frames are much more crucial to Tekken though
