I heard Alex was actually better. Only thing they nerfed was his overhead chop not the Flash Chop, and throw loops have been nerfed universally along with command grabs
You should practice on Dpad, the inputs are more accurate.

We won't, I've been playing with the character since he came out. Nerf realm is where you chill with Alex, you merely have to hold onto your L's and let Shoto's take over.
It honestly should be called Shoto Fighter, because if you aren't even shoto-lite, you're not gonna be winning much.

I don't mind the attention, especially when you try hards come at me, either way Alex is dead and wont be viable at all in Season 3, quote me, then ignore the fact that I posted that very real fact when the time comes.
Definitely not dead.. He just has to work harder for his wins then most characters.
Alex is my secondary and what I have learned is you just have to accept to hold dat.. Pick you spots and be on point with your AAs.. don't be afraid to take risks.. (Ex knee and headbutts)
Also learn how to charge buffer s.MP/S.HP into Ex Headbutt/Stomp
Once you start playing against Super/Ultra diamonds consistently that shyt is crucial..

As the FGC would say, Alex is a honest character in a Season 2 of an abusable meta. Season 3 looks to be more based on the neutral and there is more opportunity for defense. (Per the pro players)

No direct buffs, due to the shift in the meta to a footsies based one, Alex's players will be more reaction based and able read attacks. That alone makes his VT 1 more dangerous, I hope Coolkid picks him back up.
Alex will be better in season 3 by default based on what we know now of system changes alone

Alex never lived and died by his grabs in this game....I don't think he's dead even beyond that we haven't got fingers on anyone's VT2 yet so who knows.
And what are you talking about Shoto's for? Literally Akuma was the only viable Shoto in season 2. Ryu might see a resurgence this season, but Ken is still weak imo even with the new changes. If anyone is going to be even stronger its going to be Guile perhaps Dhalsim as pushback on a ton of standing and crouching normals been applied to damn near everyone. Sakura looks like she'll fit alright as well.
