Back in the day when C(r)apcom weren't charging you for characters and actually gave a fukk about the Franchise, Street Fighter was what we fukked with and just gave MK some play every now and then.

MK done came through and switched up and got a more complete game in my opinion compared to SF, but truth be told, I'd drop both of 'em for a new Darkstalkers any day.

3. Street fighter(Prefer 3rd strike)

Play for the "fun" of it or because of the competition

• Super smash brothers(melee and up)
• Tekken(anything after 3)
• MvC2(broken ass game I play only for good comp)
• [insert randomness here]

Out of the 2, I will always pick MK. Funnier, more interesting, better experience for me, fatalities, etc.

But as far as fighting games, Virtua Fighter is my favorite. Tekken as well for the reasons you named. Plus the characters and different styles.

MK is too fast paced to not have a block button. Playing against teleport characters at the speed of Raiden/Scorpion/Kung Lao would be damn near impossible.

It's a different game. No need for the back-to-block snobbery lol...

I always hated MKs design. It always felt stiff and lifeless.

On the otherhand SF done turned into some anime crap...but it's still way more entertaining.

Street Fighter because they don't do stupid shyt like kill off legacy characters. Mortal Kombat 9 was a re-awakening but then they killed most of the main cast and continued to do so in MKX
