.it's a show that seems to be going absolutely nowhere...we're however many seasons deep into the series already and I can't even imagine an ending to it that would make the whole story up to this point feel worthwhile...i don't care enough about a single solitary character enough for it to end and ultimately be "the story of so and so's fate in the zombie apocalypse" and be satisfying...and they give little to zero light to it ultimately being about the fate of the TWD world as a whole, like what caused the outbreak....is there hope for humanity....anything to pull into the greater lore of TWD universe...just nothing but these muh'fukkas going door to door and wandering thru the woods every episode over the course of years

This is exactly the point I made in a thread last year, and dudes told me, "Well you just don't get it." No nikka I get it, they're hungry. Is that it? Like there's no movement towards any kind of resolution, at all. If all of society is dead, then where was that helicopter going in the 1st season? Where do these military convoys keep coming from that the governor was hijacking, etc...?

Anyway, I stopped watching mid season 3 cause I couldn't deal with the trash anymore.

THE WALKING DEAD.

The achievement in makeup/set design/costumes alone make it tier zero. The fact that they can get you sucked into a charactor and care when they die is on the wire level, and the fact that have done a phenomenal job at capturing the zombie horror genre so well is amazing.

Its a tougher genre than Mafia / Drug crime as well, because it deals with the loss of everything, coping with hopelessness, human connection and loss theroef, true survival instincts, and theres no source material to reference outside of the genre (only other films, comics etc) unlike the others where you have real life examples and criminals.

You all can spare me the dungeons and dragons esque game of thrones riff raff, the cornyness of weeds and nip/tuck, the the shield and 24 are above them anyway. I admittedly haven't watched Boardwalk Empire (yes I fdup) but I dont think I've heard it talked about on the tier zero level anyway.

It also has maybe the GOAT pilot episode of all time; I was sold right then.

Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Wire...holy trinity. The proven. Everything else (Sopranos, House of Cards, Mad Men etc.) is at least a tier lower. And especially the fukking Walking Dead.

The Walking Dead is decent but in no way it is up there with any show you listed. Game of Thrones is better than it in everyway possible, so you can add that to the list.

There are parts of Day of the Dead that absolutely look great compared to TWD. This is prime time tv so of course they could never go as far as some of the movies I mentioned, but it would at least ease the horror nut in me.



I've rewatched Oz at least 3 times since it aired in its entirety and it has aged well. I still love the story and all the characters. There is nothing on the walking dead that can compare to Schillnger vs. Beecher.

and the kills on TWD DEFINITELY look better than the kills on day of the dead, infinitely better. TWD has better kills than every zombie movie that's came out combined. i just watched night of the living dead, dawn olf the dead, and day of the dead; you can't name me 1 kill that looks better in them movies compared to TWD.
