TWD is definitely a top tier show. it's better than most zombie movies and it's the only show out of the ones you listed that comes w/a completely unique plot to television.

I thought this was a snarky/sarcastic type thread...but i'll be goddamned, it's a shoot...the walking dead is closer to whatever tier of television drama VH1's Single Ladies is on than it is GOAT level shows like the Breaking Bad, The Wire and Sopranos...I saw True Blood mentioned and i want to say that's an apt comparison, but even True Blood outclasses the Walking Dead in just pure entertainment quality...there's a campiness to TB that at least is good for cheap thrills...TWD is more so this terribly acted, super dry, plodding show that somehow gets you to sit through long stretches of nothingness with 30 second zombie fights sprinkled throughout for forced suspense...and yet i watch the shyt every goddamn Sunday (or whenever i get to it later on in the week)..has to be some deep lingering, subconscious self loathing issues on my part or something because it's sure as hell not because i enjoy the show...it's a show that seems to be going absolutely nowhere...we're however many seasons deep into the series already and I can't even imagine an ending to it that would make the whole story up to this point feel worthwhile...i don't care enough about a single solitary character enough for it to end and ultimately be "the story of so and so's fate in the zombie apocalypse" and be satisfying...and they give little to zero light to it ultimately being about the fate of the TWD world as a whole, like what caused the outbreak....is there hope for humanity....anything to pull into the greater lore of TWD universe...just nothing but these muh'fukkas going door to door and wandering thru the woods every episode over the course of years
