Alright now I do peep the fact that some tension must exist between the two. I mean I watched Roc's interview today cause the full thing was released recently, that's months after the clips came out. In it he showed Stove a lot of love and even makes comparisons to Dee and Snoop the way he says he brought him out and put work into the beats. While Stove paints the picture different saying Roc only gave him some beats and he wasn't feeling them too much because they didn't have room for hooks like that or weren't his style. It's like them nikkas didn't even work on the same album lmao.

Yeah I mean I get it but to be like yeah I didn't really like those beats like that publicly I'm sure made Roc feel a way lol. Roc helped put him on so he should have been showed more respect even if Stove didn't like the beats, he didn't have to say it publicly, he just could have said I want to go in a different direction and explore more sounds lol.

Roc even paints a picture of being very involved and pushing the project like he would for one of his signed artist while Stove says he only made the beats and gave very little direction which he did not use.

one of the smartest things about Roc's career was keeping his circle pretty small, Cooks is younger and should always see his world and reach as bigger than a niche corner of hip-hop on the internet and linking up with Gunn makes sense but that reply to Bdot was odd. how can you talk as if you did Roc a favor ?? To be fair he does give Roc props and say Roc is a pionner of their lane, he even said it in the rap radar interview but something seems off. It's clear they don't fukk with Roc like that anymore.

I found it ironic that after he abruptly pulled the plug on his European tour months back just days before it kicked off, he then went 1000% radio silent on social media, which is soul crushing for a narcissist.

I worked in music booking 10 years ago and spent enough time working with some of these dudes to know how greasy some get down when it comes to collecting money and then dipping on contracts without services being rendered. Spent a few months sweating it out ducking threats from promoters and lawyers because a certain Wu member dipped out on a Jazzfest performance.
