Was Reasonable Drought and instrumental album?

Stove had a hand in his own success and I don't know why he's stupid when he said nothing disparaging towards Roc. Y'all letting thread titles influence your interpretation.
His association with Roc is what made people give him a shot. Let's not play dumb.

And his raps are what made people stick with him during and after that. If he was trash that Roc association wouldn't matter and he wouldn't still be making noise with Griselda.

To act like he didn't help his own cause is ridiculous.

And again he didn't say anything negative about Roc. The last thing he said was Roc had been doing this longer than all of them so his word matters as the big homie. How that's spun to him shytting on Roc is beyond me. Must be another case of the coli not watching the video.

Stovie a good artist but we don't need him over more Roc anyway imo. I wanna see him challenge himself and do more shyt first.

On another note where the full video of this shyt? Why rap radar dont drop full videos anymore.

Y'all overanalyzing and choosing sides. Even talking about Rome's body language when he's just smoking and chilling like that in all the clips.

Stove already told this story. He didn't view himself as an underground artist musically. He wanted to go mainstream which is why he wasn't feeling Roc's beats at first. He compromised and obviously Roc was trying to get him to do the same by taking off the hooks.

After that there's really nothing to speak on. Stove was never signed to him. Roc is doing his own thing and isn't putting out artists anyway. I don't get why people are trying to act like there's friction because Gunn signed him. He was signed to Busta and had a deal with Baby Grande. What's holding up Stove from dropping an album is his previous label deal. Once that's sorted I'm sure he'll link with Roc for something.
Yea these nikkaz weird

I never said he was trash. I said Roc made people start checking for him. That's just an undeniable fact.

I watched the video. He said he didn’t like the beats that Roc gave him. He said Roc didn’t have anything to do with the creation of the album (aside from giving him the beats). He said Roc heard the album after it was done. He said that the input that Roc did give him (take the hook off the first song) he rejected. He said he wants to do more melodic shyt. He gave Roc props at the end for being a pioneer of the sound.

It’s abundantly clear that Stove doesn’t want to rap over Roc’s beats or make the kind of music Roc makes. I don’t see them working on another album together in the future. I chalk it up to creative differences. Stove toed the line of disrespect with the way he spoke on Roc.

That nikka need to stick to what works for him cause I don't see him being mainstream and that same sound he criticized is what gave him a name. It's just proof to me that nikkas will just use u to leapfrog their career. Whether they really fukk wit u or not.

Again yall are taking what he said completely out of context. He told the same story in more detail to Rosenberg 1 year ago.

Timestamped:

He told Roc directly that he didn't want to even rap over his beats because that wasn't his sound. He fukked with Roc and Griselda musically but that's not what he wanted to rap over. Roc insisted and sent him beats anyway. After recording a few songs he started loving it and finished the album. Roc was never with him in the studio he just sent the beats.

B Dot specifically asked him what was Roc's input on RD and Stove said he just sent beats and they didn't speak on it until after Stove was finished.

What part of his story isn't consistent to where now he's disrespecting Roc?

People acting like Stove and Roc are Guru and Premier. They're not a group, they're not in business together beyond RD, and there was never a guarantee they'd keep doing albums together. Roc still hasn't delivered on the Metal Clergy album with Ka. That's just the business, timing, and art not aligning. All that choosing sides and taking shots at grown men who aren't giving you what you want is unnecessary.

Stove has been rapping over drumless beats and production similar to Roc's since joining Griselda. I don't think he has a problem with Roc's production. As Roc said them not working together isn't for artistic reasons it's business related. No one would think there's an issue if Flee Lord didn't run his mouth.
