It's wild because Storm has naturally progressed into who she is currently. They don't want her to think highly of herself or embrace her power but it's okay when other heroes do. Tony Stark, T'Challa, Emma Frost, Namor, Dr. Strange, Thor, Magneto, Jean all think highly of themselves but they don't get criticism like Storm does
I was about to say her new man doesnt stand a chance. But those "BDE Waves" might actually come in handy

The hate in here is pathetic. Storm damn near is the prototype of big headed, bad bytch energy since the 70s. She's been worshipped as a goddess since she was a teen. She lead the xmen while.
Marvel did a lot of goofy shyt Storm in the 80s and 90s, when comics started dying and nobody was really paying attention. Making her vamp, giving her a bootleg mjolnir, repeatedly making her powers work in space, slowly changing her physical attributes into a black skinned white woman, etc. Then made her a housewife of Wakanda and sat her down for like 10 years. House of M was happening but Storm was worried about Wakanda
half them nikkas didn't like her cuz she's a mutant and most of the others are sus of her cuz she not Wakandan.
That was around when Marvel started coming back 2010ish and Storm was being an irrelevant xmen 2nd teamer again. This goofy she about her being a space god is a return to form. The real difference being she only did that bougie shyt in Africa.

namor - another hypocrite. got dunked on hard by tchalla, doom, and the squadron
thor - constantly reminded of his failings and not being as strong as he needs to be. oftentimes left in self doubt
