I thought Coates run was ultimately ok after a shaky start. I didn’t get the overall impression that he hated the character but he was trying to do a little too much in the beginning to leave his “stamp” on the character and lore. He straightened it up during the Avengers Of The New World saga and I like how he ended the Intergalactic Wakandan Empire saga.
Ridley’s run was absolute TRASH. He’s the one who hated T’Challa. Dude should be banned from writing any fictional black males for the rest of his life.
