In 2004 - 2005.

Shaq 22.9/10.4/2.7/2.3 PER 27.0
Wade 24.1/6.8/5.2/1.6/1.1 PER 23.1

Nash 15.5/11.5/3.3 PER 22
Amare 26/8.9/1/1.6 PER 26.6
Marion 19.4/11.3/1.9/1/1.6 PER 21.7
Joe Johnson 17.1/5.1/3.5/1 PER 15.1

But somehow Shaq has no argument :francis::mjlol:

heat record without shaq that season was 6-4 including winning 2 playoff games without him. He wasn’t even the best player on his team let alone mvp of the league

Take shaq off Miami they still a playoff team they were without him.take Nash off the suns what are they? a lottery team

Get them stats out my face

Nash deserved both mvps , suns went from 29 wins to 62 his 1st year there #1 offense in the nba

next season lose stoudemire for 79 games 54 wins 3 seed #2 offense in the league

Anybody who thinks kobe or shaq should of won over Nash :snooze:

That's within the last 2 years. You brought up his Pacer run from like 7 years ago. George wasn't that good then...

PG has been All NBA and All Defensive Team since as early as the 2012 season....he’s been a top 10ish player at times throughout that whole period...and at similar points of their careers has objectively been the more accomplished player over Nash....Nash gets all this all time great praise for a couple year stretch where he somehow gets ALL the credit for a Dantoni gimmick team where he had multiple teammates be as or more productive as he was (look at the PER numbers for Amare and Marion someone just posted) and even besides that...that team didn’t accomplish JACK shyt :russ:

One of the most overrated players in the history of the league. Has to be the only guy in the league who won mvp and I could name 10 plus players that were better than him those seasons.

He’s an all time great but he’s not a top 5 point guard. And yes he stole that MVP from Shaq

How is Nash disrespected when media and fans have conspired to provide him the single greatest plea cop in the history of sports? To this day people talk about the Horry hip check and Amare supsension for one game not the rest of the series mind you. No one talks about the Suns losing a close game 5 at the crib with Nash shooting 6-19 and missing the game tying 3 late. For any other back to back MVP with no rings, this would be their "legacy". But for good old Nash we ignore it and blame everything and everyone else.

shaq with wade averaging 27/5/6 has no argument AT ALL

Kobe whose teams were 6 & 7 seeds doesn’t either. Great individual season that’s it

before Westbrook won that fluke bullshyt mvp for his triple doubles ,the last mvp that went to a team lower than 3rd/4th seed was kareem in 1975 kobe wasn’t getting mvp for teams 2 and 8 games over .500 no matter how weak the roster was considered.Nash impacted his team tremendously they were top in the league, top 2 offensively ,lost key players and didn’t skip a beat
You take Kobe off that team and they’re last in the league.

Nope, he singlehandedly devalued the MVP in my eyes....got tier 1A love during that SSOL run, when in reality he was never on that level...most perceived disrespect is mostly just an acknowledgment of that...if it were just “oh Steve Nash was a top 10ish player in the league for couple year run” i don’t think there’d be any blowback...a similar description can be made for a Paul George level player today....but the hype around Nash, especially in real time when he was getting that back to back MVP, was the type of praise and reverence usually reserved for the best 1 or 2 players in the league...generational talents, the type of guys that almost always end up the centerpiece of multiple championship squads....Nash never even made a final....him getting accurately rated NOW after years of being grossly overrated isn’t disrespect

No sir he earned those MVPS!

And Paul George led a Pacers team with Roy Hibbert as his next best player to a couple pretty regular season records before getting eliminated from the playoffs by Lebron led superteams, without a fraction of the knob slobbery

If he were getting PG level praise there’d be nothing to say here...but the hype train he got and the MVPs put him in conversations he quite frankly has no business being in. Taking him out of those conversations isn’t disrespect

he isn’t even the best player to get the D’Antoni juiced stats stimulus boost, harden is

He earned those MVPS
